Hi all!
I have a scene with a bent rope, in the beginning it is totally transparency but then it has to reveal itself from start to end.
How to make this?
Thanks for your help.

Is the transparency of the rope animated, or are you looking for a gradient type transparency for a still frame?

Also have you built the rope already? I was too tired last night to respond. There are more options if you have not built it already.

Well then, I think your best bet is to use the dissolve feature, keyframing an increasing value on the polygons as you move down the rope over the length of your animation.

but transparency has to be gradually to reveal the rope from its start to end, so I can't use dissolve because it dissolves all the rope

If you after After Effects - you can just do the animation with the rope there - and the rope not there and animate the mask of one layer to the other. It will look like the rope is growing into the final shape (depending on what your final rope looks like of course).
