Hey, I'm thinking of joining the world of lw and i was reading some older threads that had to do with a linux plug, i was just wondering if there was anything new on that front. I was also wondering if you could make small animated films with light wave?

small animated flims, no problem. LW is has been used on music videos to full production films.

The only Linux developments so far are a ScreamerNet (network rendering) node which you control from a host computer running LightWave under Windows or Mac OS X however this seems currently unavailable (due to various issues that need resolving).

Some users have reported success at running the PC version of LightWave on Linux using WINE - search the forums for more info.
