This doesn't relly have to do with lightwave but some of you genios may know a answer to m problem...
After installing the Asus V9900/TD Geforce FX 5800 on my computer, along with dirext X 9.0a 3d accelleration seems to be disabled. In the settings it is enabled. I have downloaded the latest drivers from Nvidia and direct x. When i run the diagnostic direct 3d test the following error message appears:
Direct3D 7 test results: Failure at step 8 (Creating 3D Device): HRESULT = 0x887602eb (error code)
Direct3D 8 test results: Failure at step 8 (Creating 3D Device): HRESULT = 0x8007000e (Out of memory)
Direct3D 9 test results: Failure at step 8 (Creating 3D Device): HRESULT = 0x8007000e (Out of memory)
I have Windows 98 se 1024 MB ram, P4 2.8. (i know it is not good to put lots of ram and a high powered Cpu on Winows 98, but)
All games and other 3d programs indicate some sort of direct 3d failure and either shutdown or go to software rendering. Previosly my TNT2 card worked fine on the system. Help??

Got the newest chipset/AGP drivers too?

Out of memory...well not really surprising with Win98, i switched to Win2k as soon as it was available for exactly such messages (although directX worked), and never looked back. Win98 can't really do anything usefull with so much RAM, some programs may use it but after that it's kinda a pile of trash and stays that until you reboot...
