I am attempting to use the TriCaster Studio as the basis of a 24/7 broadcast. I have several challenges, not least of which is trying to take a schedule playlist and use it to order and load the hundreds of files that comprise that playlist.
Is there any way to convert an excel sheet of file names, etc. to a .vtv playlist that will load the files en masse?
Also, any way to change from one large playlist to another large playlist without having to manually remove and load the lists?
Thanks to anyone who can help.

Have you tried Scheduler Pro?

Gordon,
Thanks very much. I'm checking it out now, but it looks like exactly what I need. You're a lifesaver.

You're welcome. dhomas has been good to work with so hopefully Scheduler Pro will work for you or he can help with your specifics.

dhomas has been great. :i_agree: I hope to have the schedule module installed, loaded with all files and running by early next week.
One more question though... I'm creating a daily playlist that runs 24 hours. Any idea on the best remote access program to use with the tricaster so i can trigger my playlist change from a remote location?
Thanks again.

If using dhomas treen's Scheduler Pro then it only makes sense to also use his TCP-VT (http://www.youngmonkey.ca/hands/restaurant/plugins/TCP-VT/index.html)(also supports TriCaster models) software for remote access control. He can tell you how well the two work together.

Another option would be to simply use UltraVNC (http://www.uvnc.com/) which is not only free but works very well, allowing you to connect to the system remotely just as if you were sitting right in front of it.

Gordon,
Thanks a lot. I was looking at logmein to achieve the same thing. I'll check these out too.
dhomas has been amazingly patient and helpful. I'll definitely look into the TCP-VT module.
I hope to one day give you helpful information.

LogMeIn (free) works too. I used it on a couple TriCasters as a means of support for my customers. Either LogMeIn or UltraVNC are good. You don't get the nagging with UltraVNC that you get with LogMeIn.
