Framerate + Non/Drop Frame + 4:3 or 16:9???

Simple question but..

For best results do I set the frame rate in LightWave to 29.9 instead of 30

and use NTSC ND (D1 4:3) in my compositing app:

FrameRate 29.97
TimeCode Mode 30 FPS ND


or should I be rendering out of LW at 30 FPS and use NTSC DF (D1 4:3)

or NTSC 16:9?? nondrop or drop?? I need to end up with a good resolution
composite that will end up in all formats (SVCD, DVD, NTSC, MPEG).
Does the frame rate matter if I'm rendering tga32 image sequences??

I work with NTSC D1.

LW render - camera put in D1 format 720x486 (30 fps)
Field Rendering ODD-LOW FIELD

If you make a compositing using AfterFX, Combustion or DF etc

Import your LW frame sequence as 30fps (low field-odd).
and render as D1 29,97fps 720x486.


I didn't try make a lw render using 29,97 fps yet. I'm curious about result of this. In the moment I'm not have much time to make some tests :(
