Hello,
I am working on a project involving turning about 25+ 1.5 Ghz thinclient stations into a 25+ node parallel HPC. I had a different idea involving putting the screamernet client software into a copy of the Thinstation Linux OS which would automatically set up screamernet and would be ready for renders just after turning the thinstation client on. I just have a few questions to make this happen which are: Can SC run in linux natively? If so, can it be configured and executed just in terminal on startup? How would the linux SC node work with a Windows SC controller?
I am new to SC and have attempted set one up but LW 9.3's SC controller was very inefficient at handing out jobs and I am wondering if other party controllers would work better.
