View Full Version : Quicker Lip sync Pipeline??

Greetings. Wondering if there is some far-out ninja wisdom that would speed up my workflow.

I'm doing lip sync for a charachter with phenoms set up in morph mixer. So I load the audio, concentrate, and keyframe away. Then I want to check my work and see how I'm doing.

Since you cant really see much more than bone movements scrubbing the timeline in LW, and in order for the audio to line up with the animation when generating a Preview you have to start the Preview at the beggining of the timeline (plus it doesn't seem totally accurate either).... then your best bet seems to render a postage stamp size sequence at 29.97, export to a compositing app, composit, render the composit, then finally you have an image you can view along side the audio that enables you to see how the lip sync is coming along.

Is this realy the fastest way to get good results without a dedicated lip sync app? Even at 30-60 sec a frame...thats alot of rendering time just to view your work as you go. Any other methods??

regards,
