S-Video Inputs won't work

We just purchased a Tricaster Pro FX, and the S-Video Inputs won't work. The S-Video output works fine, and so do the component inputs, but it won't recognize the S-Video signal PLEASE HELP :help:

Are you using the standard (round) S-Video Mini-DIN connector for input? Have you selected "Y/C (S-Video)" in the Input Setup panel for the appropriate inputs?

We had the same problem yesterday shooting a classs in Ohio.
After trying different cables and cameras we accidentally found that selecting Composite for the input and then re-selecting S-Video the signal then passed through. Even though the screen had S-video lit as the input it wasn't actually passing that signal through until we went back to composite and then returned to S-video.
BTW we didn't have a composite signal connected, we just chose it in the camera setup screen.
You probably did this already but I just wanted to let you know what worked for us.
