Not developement, but I've been using 3D applications for over 5 years, including LightWave obviously.

Understanding of cross-platform development

I would say so!

Skin based design and implementation techniques

Yes, but need to brush up on my XML!

C or C++ on Microsoft Windows® or Apple Macintosh®

Use to mess about programming intuition and GadTools in C on an Amiga a looooong time ago, but not Windows or Mac.

Experience in the product life-cycle from design to shipping

Yes, but not software specifially - consumer goods.

Strong problem solving and communication skills, with a particular emphasis on working both with customer, marketing and sales teams to evaluate requirements for product development.

Yes it's part of the design cycle for industrial designers.

Solid experience in:

Working and interacting with a team of developers

Hmmm, not specifically but I work with a team of engineers and other designers, I'm sure it's not too different.

Workflow and user interface design

Yes.

OpenGL or Direct X

Hmmmm, no, not really, other than from a users perspective.

Some understanding of:

3D modeling, animation and rendering technologies

I can use LightWave, that count?
