i like the nice color. added a plane behind the camera with -100%luminosity.

If its behind the camera its obviously unseen by the camera, it has to be unseen by rays. Or otherwise change the reflection setting of the perls.

this is a WIP section. isn't it?
ergo low AA, low subpatch level.

but you didnt answer my question. I like the polygon that is behind the camera not to be seen in the reflection. so I set the unseen by camera in the objects panel.
but its still there in the reflection...
any workaround?

Okay sorry I though ingo answerred it, did you try his suggestion? Unseen By Rays??

hmmm... unseen by rays and my -100% luminosity is gone. right? (not what i want)
why is unseen by camera not working? is it only unseen by camera when its directly visible by camera? not in the reflection?

You got it right. Unfortunately, I don't see a way around it...or it just hasn't come to me yet. I just did a series of tests with unseen by camera and unseen by rays. None worked, given what you want. If it comes to me, I'll let you know.

You could also try a search at flay. Maybe there's some sort of plugin, but to be honest, I doubt it.

Why would unseen by rays not work? Unseen by rays mean that any rays won't hit the object at all, so there is nothing to reflect in the pearls. And i would think that the luminosity from the panel would remain, because you're not disabling the object, it is still there. Give it a try, it never hurts.

What do you not use a negative area light instead of a negative luminous panel ? It will darken the image in the same way, and it won't render.
Not -100%, of course, maybe -10%.

i give it a try with the -area light.
unseen by rays do not work, because its disabling the rays (luminosity)

I could add a ball around my scene. flip the poly inside, put the imageworld pic on it and move the -luminositypoly outside of that ball. sett the ball to unseen by rays and it should work to. a little hack, but maybe.

but im verry impressed with the lightning. but not with the renderspeed... 6min/frame

thanx all
