Hi all,
I'm wondering if there is anyone who can help me with this.
Essentially I want to 'squash' a lod of hypervoxels so that they're almost flat discs instead of spheres. Does anyone know of how, or even if it's possible?
Thanks

It's possible using the HV Deformer (aka Waterpool). It's interface is something else though. If it's just for a still you could also do it manually via the stretch direction and align to path (same as HV Deformer (ab)uses). Then just shoot your particles or displace your points in on direction really fast over a frame and set a negative stretch direction.

y'know what, I am such a dufus..........it's easy to using the stretch option, I was using the wrong values. A stretch value of -1% does the job nicely.
Thanks for the swift reply though :)
Now, the next problem, emitting particles in a ring formation, after they've been emitted from the death of another particle.
The usual way I would create a ring of particles is using a collision object at the center of the emitter and scaling it down a little. but as these particles are being emitted from the death of another single particle, this method doesn't work as the collision can't be scaled less than a single particle.
Any ideas?
Thanks
