When editing SDS objects I sometimes run into a problem with my mouse movements being overly sensitive. For example, I'll select some point, press t and go to move them, and they'll fly off the screen with just a touch of the mouse. A similar situation occurs when I try and rotate my view of the object in the perspective window.
any ideas?

automan,
I'm having the exact same problem, but it started only recently. Hopefully this bump will get someone's attention. BTW, I'm using a P4 with an ATI 9700 Pro, and a MS intellimouse USB optical. What are you using? Maybe there's a common thread here.

Mine is a bit of a dinosaur. I'm using an Athlon 500, Asus K7M MB, GeForce 2MX, and a Logitech USB optical mouse.

Oh, and I'm running Windows 2000. I've also recently discovered that this situation doesn't occur with only SDS objects. It seems to be related to the number of polys being handled at any one time. The more polys, the more screwey the mouse movement.

I had that problem a while back, but I could never narrow down what caused it. Sometimes it was a different app I was running, if I shut it down LW would respond normally. Sometimes it would happen even if LW was the only thing running, but I could never figure out what I had done to make act screwy. Usually restarting LW fixed it, but sometimes I had to reboot Win2k. The problem went away when I swapped my GeForce 2 for a GeForce 4MX.

I'm running WinXP Home, and am using LW7.5. I haven't upgraded yet, due to all the upgrade problems people were having, but I might try updating to 7.5c now to see if that fixes the problem.
UPDATE:
I just installed 7.5C and it seems to have solved the problem. However, take the instructions seriously about backing up the liscence.key and any .cfg files. The .key made it through OK, but all of my .cfg and a few other render outputs were deleted from the Lightwave directory. Luckily, I did heed the warning!
