Lightwave 3d compatibility with form Z

Can LW objects, textures, etc. be imported into form Z and vise versa?

I used Form-Z and LightWave a while ago (no longer) Form-Z could import the object geometry as DXF but not the textures.

It was also painfully slow on import (Form-Z).

The latest version of Form-Z supports LightWave .LWO file format now, so you're probably in better luck than I was!

i use formZ 3.6 from time to time, and know that from v3.9+, form Z has .lwo support. i'd like to know if materials are supported as well.
