Hi there!

I been always impresed with the flowering desert, 4-5 days of life every couple of years. My image is very a work in progress, I need to work more with textures ans lighting.

Now I'm adding some bump to the top and changing lighting.

Nice start.. the edges look way too sharp...

Add some dust, little rocks, and sand in different colors. I used to live in a very dry place near the dryest desert on earth (Arica-Chile) so this is very common to me, in fact I think you need to add Radiosity to bring this picture to life.

For some reason my systen crashed and the object file is corrupted, I need to start again. This is so frustrating.

Ok, I just found the temporal object files and keep working just a little.

Cavalos: I don't want to use radiosity at least until I'm confident with normal lighting. I think people is abusing of radiosity these days.

MorituriMax: In part the adges must be sharp but I need to find a balance, thanks for your observation.

This is my last attempt. Just adding some detail, I hope this help but I'm not completely happy with the result.

Good comrade titus ... to near the radiosity ... since it is a tool very impresindible and does not import this abuse that you say so as to achieve this finished one that we all wish, you do not believe?

Good work of the land dries.:D

I think that would be a web-translator message :D.

Abusing Radiosity? I know what you mean but as long as you do it correctly you wont get a "LW Radiosity Render" feel to the picture. At least use some area lights. :)
The lighting at the moment is far too harsh. The sun only comes from that angle in a desrt at sundown. Id sugest having the light almost directly from above bu thats me.

im ok with broken english so i *think* this is what warro was trying to say:

good work titus, to get closer results with radiocity, since it is a very impressonable/indispencible (i have no idea which) tool it does not warrent such abuse. in order to get the effect you want, you do not need to use it like this, dont you think?

good luck in the desert.

(ok my spelling isnt great, but i think thats right. if its not, just post again warro, or PM me)
