I thought I'd start a thread to see what cool onscreen F/X people have seen lately that was created with LightWave......
My 2 cents:
"Children of Dune", available now on DVD (realeased from New Amsterdam Entertainment)
I skipped the mini-series on Sci-Fi Channel due to Sci-Fi's ugly habit of cramming too many commercials into a premiere event, and waited for the DVD. Boy, was I pleased I did -- it was a pleasure to soak in the whole movie uninterrupted!
Spectacular visual effects -- I think some of the most beautiful digital cityscape creations I've seen in quite some time. Definitely a prime example of some very fine animation created with LightWave (and just as good as anything produced with other high-end packages). If others out there haven't checked it out, would recommend it -- I think, if anything, digital artists will find the visual F/X quite inspiring.......
