Hi,
Anyone else having problems rendering at WMV9Advanced VC1 format?
I'm getting green vertical stripes across my animation as well as a purplish tint to all the frames. Version 1.2 didn't have any problems encoding to VC1.
Any help would be appreciated.

Zareh, Have you tried to convert a simple video file to eliminate animation frame variables.

Hi,
Here is the same set of frames converted to a QuickTime and WMV. You'll note the Quicktime looks correct while the WMV has all sorts of colors creeping in that aren't there in the real TGA frames. I'm also including a TGA frame for your reference.

Sorry, I don't work in .rar. I have seen though, some Picons appearing as you are seeing, since 1.5.1. imho, it is that I'm not allowing WinDoz upgrade my WMP11, SE provides. iow, a webupdate for 11 could correct the Picons. To much expectations that everything is possible off the camera media or file data with SE. I just did a VC1 from HDV720p prjct/file, but did not get the corrupted Picon.
Conversions do not necessarily mean a loss in quality, imho. TGA's should be stretched or work on and goto a video file/codec, a.s.a.p.

Are you sure you haven't got a playback problem?
From the comparison of those three files, I would say that the Quicktime file is easily the worst compression.
The WMV looks extremely close to the original TGA. While the WMV is showing some artifacting and a slight change in saturation, the color in the Quicktime is extremely desaturated and it's grainy.
Do you have any old, known good WMV's to play for comparison?

turns out if I quit out of SE then the animation plays back OK. So that's my solution for now. Thank you for your posts.
