The cg for this short film, which was shown at the Toronto Film Festival, was -- according the VFX supervisor of the film -- rendered in LW:

Amazing movie, from that site:
- Terminus was shot in and around Vancouver and Montreal. Small crew, shot on DVX100's
- Mocap used for most shots, characters modelled in modo, rendered in lightwave, detailing in zbrush, composited in shake.
- hdri lighting was used for most shots.
- tracking so many shots was made easier by making the decision to not move the camera around much and track nodal.

It was fun to work on, the little bits that I did or helped with.

About what? Any specific questions?

Some of these questions might be stupid, as I have no experience mixing cg with live action.
Can you explain the general process? Were there animatics? Were there some kind of standins for the actors to visualize? How did you match the lighting? Were there any big (almost insurmountable) problems?
Please feel free to answer as few of these questions as you'd care to.
You guys did a fantastic job.

Can you explain what you mean by "track nodal?" I'm guessing you mean you did much of the camera work in post, but I'm just unfamiliar with the term itself.
