Mac Config file - can anyone help

Can someone offer some advice on resetting my Mac LW config file...It seems to have become corrupt and doesn't remeber any of my settings...errr

I work on both mac and pc & when I need to dump my config file on a pc I just erase it and the program rewrites it.. It doesn't seem to be doing that on the mac.

First off, I found two places that lw config files are on my mac

1 set in.... system folder/prferences

1 set in...users/myname/library/prferences

Which ones the real one?.. I tried deleting both sets and still no luck.

In modeler I also tried to "revert to startup preferences" and get an error "could not open config file"

Any help or ideas would be appreciated... Thanks

check the permissions of the pref files - sometimes they are "read only" and that will do exactly what is happening to you

The config file you are using is the one pointed to in your cmdline files. There is a cmdline for Hub, Layout and Modeler. If you are running the Hub it tells the other two where to look. Regardless, open up these cmdline files (in the Programs folder) to see where the preference file is located. Delete that one, and rebuild from there. You may need to manually re-add the plugins though!
