Layout freezes

ugh.....hey yall......ive had LW for a bit....and EVERYTHING works fine.......in the modeler. I have tried to open layout...which works fine.....until...i have too manythings going ....or have like rotated....nvm.....it just freezes....i have a sucky graphics card....and an intel celeron processor. thx in advance.....scOObeR!

sucky graphics card is probably the problem. aside from buying
a new one, try the usuall suggestions:

1) Update to the latest manufacturers drivers for the card.
2) set Layout to only ONE viewport and change it when you need
to see a diferent view of your world - but only keep it at one viewport.

it seems Layouts and Modelers application of OGL is a bit different, and whats probably happenieng is your getting gaught in a refresh cycle. I'd bet if you left the computer for a time when it 'froze' when you came back after a while it'd be fine - until you
tried to do something else anyways.
depending on the speed of the celleron, that could be an issue too, but less so than the video card - that would slow the entire system down or crash it completely.

UNLESS your entire computer is locking up, in whcih case it could be anything from a hardware fault somewhere, or a corrupted os.
