Hey!

Here's a tripod I have begun constructing for my new video camera. ;)

Carm3D,

Welcome back, my Chula Vista buddy. I like the tripod, but the legs seem wierd to me. Not quite sure why though. Are there that many bars composing the legs? The texture seems a bit wrong. Isn't there also two to three segments to the legs also? Maybe they're just folded up I understand, but maybe that's what is making it look wierd for me.

Is this for a demo reel Carm?

Hey Marvin. :)

The legs look okay to me.. Those professional grade tripods do it like that..

The fact that it is fully collapsed does make it look squatty. I think I will be letting out one leg segment to give it more natural height.

> The texture seems a bit wrong.

I haven't messed with the surfacing part of it yet too much.

> Is this for a demo reel Carm?

It will certainly wind up in a demo reel, but it is being crafted for a specific project.

hey, i like it, looks great, yeah ive seen one of those tripods before, nothing wrong there. One ting i did pick up was that it looks to me like the camera isnt connected to the tripod. That what it looks like to me, but then again i could be going blind :p

Looks good, how about a nice adapter plate for the camera. You know the ones that let you balance out the camera. Oh and while your at it put an atione bauer gold series battery pack on it so you can shoot longer lol. The tri-pod is good work has one like that it took me 15 min to figure out how to set it up and they are very nice!

Unfortunately, this project has been scrapped and I may be losing my job here in a few weeks. So I have to scramble to find some clients to get some freelance work or I'm homeless.

Carm3D,

That sucks about the project getting scrapped, man. I wish I could help, but I'm looking for work as it is. Keep us updated so we can know you're alright. This was turning out so well too.
