I can't get that script to do what I'd like it to. I can get it to make the big beveled squares, but it doesn't make the small objects on the big beveled squares.

Anyone even know what I'm talking about? I'll post up a screenshot if ya'll need me to.

The greeble script I have require the stuff to be in the background layers . Have you done that ?

I'm using this greeble script: http://earthwormjim.free.fr/lscript/modeler/greeble/index.html

The first image is the result I keep getting, and the second image is what I'd like to get.

EDIT: What stuff needs to be in the background layers?

Ok it works ok if I have 2 background layers active, but any more than that and I get this error message:

Why can't I edit my posts????

It rarely works with 2 background layers BTW.

Yeah, gotta say so far the greebles_nurnies script works fine here. Not only that, it can be fun to watch as it selects each polygon in the foreground object in turn :D .What do you have in the background layer?

Eh? I have nothing in the background layers...

Wait wait wait... so how exactly are you supposed to use this thing?

You need to create some 'nurnie' detail geometry in the background layers.

So the first active layer has the object you want to add the nurnie details to, and then the nurnie objects themselves (which you will have to model) are selected as background layers.

Then you run the script to populate the nurnie objects onto the source object, like this:

There is also a greeble bevel script that requires no background geometry, try that to detail up your source object, and then maybe run the greeble nurnie script to add even further custom detail.

Oh I get it now! Thanks! I thought it was like the Discombobulator script for Blender.

I'll have to try out that bevel script too!

This script doesn't work for me. I get:

"Line 96, illegal arithmetic operation on data type."

Followed by:

"Line 2047, illegal arithmetic operation on data type."

I've tried registering at the author's site so I could post these errors there, but they're taking their time activating my account.

I'm on an Intel Mac running 9.3, could that be it?

It's an lscript so it should work fine, not sure, maybe ask Chilton (NewTek Mac guy) to test it?

Doesn't work in 9.3 UB for me either.

Just was emailing Alexx and he sent me a revised script that work with the UB. Not sure if he wants me to post it here or not, I'll ask.

There is also a greeble bevel script that requires no background geometry, try that to detail up your source object, and then maybe run the greeble nurnie script to add even further custom detail.

be aware that this script is a beta version and is not bug free, the bevel_test script will sometime keeps original geometry polygons with bevels underneath, so you might need to remove them by hand to see the actual beveled geometry.
