Looking good, they look too glassy though, i think you need a specularity map - break up the shine, and to make them less shiny.

I see absolutely nothing to improve.
hmm.... the rightmost apples shape is a little strange. But maybe its how its supposed to be.

Nice man!
id lessen the gloss and specular where the stork pops out the top.

I think the specular is fine. I just bought some apples like these a few days ago and they look even more shiney then yours :)
Looks really nice gj
I think they look great, just the stems look too bright.
What are they for?

I would only say they need a very small bump map. So small that you can only see them on the reflection areas!

looks like a freaking photo to me!
I thought for sure Hiraghm would've went into the dilema of not protraying green apples and how sick and twisted the world is for not liking granny smith apples....
Nice image...I agree with the stems being to bright comment and the bump map comment...other than that a better backround would be great...looks good though nice job on the texturing.:)
Very realistic. Adding a little specularity and bump mapping might help but there is not much to improve.

Hi LWer's, thanks for all the constructive critics, you're right about the bumps, there is a map, but I smoothed it too much (I am using HyperSmooth for the reflections), what I am tryingto do is to replace the specularity with real life reflections (because that's all it's all about in fact, so much reflections accumulated in one spot , that the amount of reflected light creates "specularity"), and it is normally possible with the Hypersmooth plugin.... well normally....
what else , ha yeah, I'll reduce the gloss (improving the bump map might fix it as well)... and the light on the stems too high...ok ok ok ..
oH, and if you want I can make a Granny Smith apple.... juicy hummmm... (and very crunchy !)
Thanks

Nah, Remi, I generally don't talk about Apples, unless comparing them unfavorably with Amigas.
Besides, all we dumb rednecks know about apples is that they taste better without worms. ;)

Hervé,
Very neat apples. I agree on the stem comments.
As far as the specularity is concerned:
Are you going for apples off the tree or for polished and hand washed apples? :)
I tried the "no-spec, all reflections" approach for a couple of shots too, a pain in the a** ans massicve rendertimes, but that can be handled if you use a decent reflection map.
