Hi

Can I send a signal trough SX-8 GPI and start Tedit to play.
Im a resseler in Portugal and a customer ask me if He can control TEdit trough GPI.
He works with ProTools to make the sound trak for Docs and He like to know if He can syncronise the Protools with TEdit?

Just for information, what can I tell about GPI in SX8 to my customers? What can they make with GPI?

Thank you.

I think this is possible with the SX-8 and some Toaster Script.

Here is the pinouts on the cable:

1 / LED 1
2 / LED 2
3 / LED 3
4 / LED 4
5 / LED 5
6 / LED 6
7 / LED 7
8 / LED 8
9 / GND
10 / GND
11 / No Connect
12 / GPI 0
13 / GPI 1
14 / 3.3 volt power
15 / No Connect

Example of Toaster Script:
AddCallback("GPI0",code( if( GetGPIState0() == 0) Auto() ))

You could playback stuff from the DDR. When the GPI was triggered it would auto on the swithcer and then the DDR would start playing. Granted that the DDR was on cue mode.

Hope this helps-

No books or documentation of Toaster Script yet. Talk to Aussie... Also try looking at the toaster Script code provided...

Jose, did you make the GPI work? I'm in the same situation. I want to trigger a clip on the DDR using the GPI port.

Bye
