Can the toaster go into the PCIX slot, I know it is a 32 bit, plus has anyonr else had a problem with an adaptec 39320r in a pcix slot with a supermicro x5dae. When in the slot XP boots fine, when you plug 2x146 gig ultra 320 drives or anything windows takes upto 5 mins to boot. System is:

2x Xeon 3.06
4x 512 ram
120 ide boot drive
2xseagate 146 ultra 320.

This fault gos away if you blug the card into the 32 bit slot.

Can some one please help as I am doing a tv show on Wednesday,

Thanks

...with thanks to Dexter Welton, who posted this on the Yahoo VTNT mailing list (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/VTNT/)

Right click on the desktop and open Properties.
Click on the Settings tab and set your color quality to 32 bits and the screen resolution to 1260x1024 on monitor
1. DO NOTHING with monitor 2, that is: leave it inactive. If you activate it as XP help instructions tell you, you will end up with dual monitors that you can’t span across.
Instead click on Advanced settings and then on the GeForceWhatever tab. That opens a window with a smaller side menu at the side. Click on nView Display Mode and then click on the horizontal span button and you’re in business.

To fool around with dialog box and tool bar placement, drop down in the side menu and click on Desktop Utilities, then check Enable Desktop Manager, click on Desktop Manager Configeration and then click on the Wizard button. Some settings will work with your favorite programs and others will surprise you. Experiment until you get something you like.

Should be no problems using PCI-X for Toaster, if that's all you got. I didn't answer because it sounded like you'd already installed the Toaster. ;)

You want to set PCI bandwidth to PCI-x Unlimited.
Set TEd CPU speed to 5.0 and see how she runs.

Editor and DDR use similar settings, since DDR is actually the Editor with a different skin
