Hi all, Have never done any 3D work before, just got Lightwave 9.2 and had a question. I was expecting it to be easy to export the lightwave scene and feed it in Adobe Premier Pro or Adobe After Effects.
I loaded the Adobe After Effects plug-ins from the NewTek site but it doesn't work. Can not seem to figure out how to save/export from Lightwave in a format After Effect can import.
Thanks

... ahhh OK, there is a thing called "rendering" should be in the manual.

After you RENDER!!! While in Premiere Pro, "Import" the rendered file and in the menu there is a box to check that will find the first frame and continue to the end.

Rendering into an AVI file has been the only way I can get Premier Pro to pull in the Lightwave animation. I would have thought, with the plug-in, at least After Effects could inport the work.

Premier and AE should be fully capable of importing lots rendered from LightWave. avi, mov, mpg, jpeg sequence, png seqence, etc.

If you want a simple, cheap, animation-from-jpeg program, I would just get Quicktime Pro for 50 bucks. Other users will TOTally disagree, I am sure there are free alternatives, but I think it is also easy for a beginner to get into (within 15 minutes).
