Hi,

When using Volumetric lighting, any objects that have SasLite applied to them, the hair/fur does not render at all, but if I turn off the volumetric effect, it will render fine!

What's going on?

I am planning on buying the full version so I rang up a colleague of mine who has it, but he couldn't remember whether the full version works with volumetrics or not as he hadn't tried it.

Please don't tell me you can't do this?

Adrian.

I believe no version of Sas will work with volumetric lighting.

You may be to workaround the problem by using one of the methods for faking volumetric lighting, or possibly by compositing the two elements.

Bugger.

I have no idea how to fake volumetric lighting so I guess I will have to try to model hair manually.

I'm still going to buy the full version once I have the dosh as it looks a fantastic plugin - although surely this is a major weakness? But then I guess volumetric lights aren't used that much....

Thanks anyway!

Adrian.

Saslite doesn't work with Volumetrics nor HV.

Sasquatch work good with HV as long as you use this simple workaround:
Don't use Sasquatch "One-Pass Antialiasing"; both HyperVoxels and Sasquatch must "antialias" the same number of times.

Both SasLite and Sasquatch don't work with Volumetric Lighting! :(

Bye.
