MS SP4 error ???

Hello All !
Well I went and downloaded and applied the SP4 update for Win2000. I checked all links to my software and found 3 not working.
That is, when I start Layout or Modeler, they appear to start with busy cursor turning but no go !
Also, when I tried my Aura2.5b, it too activates but still in busy mode.

Any of you with similar problem ?
Do I need to un-install or just re-install over the 3 softwares ?
I believe the dongles (usb/parallel) ok.
Software worked just fine before patch job.
Let me know A.S.A.P., please.

Well, I rebooted a couple times to no avail.
However, next morning (today) tried LW 7.5c and it worked !
Maybe needed to sort out files. You just never know with these MS major updates. So far so good.
