Video Card - I Need Help

I wanted to know the best video card to purchase for 3d (specifically LW) and I do not do play many games.
I am looking for cards less than $1000 but would prefer cards more in the range of $500 (less cost is better but I want performance)
So far, I have looked at these cards....
GeForce 5900 Ultra
ATI 9800 Pro
3dLabs Wilcat VP 870
3dLabs Wilcat VP 970 Pro
3dLabs Wilcat VP 880 Pro
3dLabs Wilcat VP 990 Pro (this one is a little expensive but I like it)

Any suggestions on which of these would be best or other suggestions that are better?
