just a sample of one of the images I'm making for an architectural competition. (time is an enemy). (the thingy took 10 h rendering time on Athlon 1,4 1 gig RAM), and forget to check double sided for the chairs (aarghh.... :( ). So fotosjop (picasso's too).

hey, thats a good start

but can i ask a few questions

where are the light sources for the room and what time of day is it there cos you are getting a bit of a washed out effect going on

Yip you'r completely right. It is supposed to be night.
The problem I have is that I haven't got a clue to create the gloom you have around light sources. For some (stupid) reasons I made the walls my light sources.. This indeed results in this very white thingy..
Have you got an idea to fake or create this gloom....?

tell u what
make a screen grab of the perspective view of layout and well see if we can sort out light placement to get the effect that u want

was out of commission over the weekend

ok what are the materials that the chairs floor ceiling and tables are made of

and what is the room supposed to be used for so u can think about the color of the lighting

thx a lot for the help, put had to enter my pics. Yesterday. pufh... Not 100 % glad with the result, sigh. But maybe next time I have a little more time to figure out the lighting-thing. (by the way like your hdri-test. AN DO LUV the Anti Grav Pod. slick !
