Ok, I'm a bit new at this. I have an object and I made a box and booean subtracted to cut off the end of my object and give it a nice flat end. The problem is that when I try to select all connected poly's it leaves the resulting cut surface behind like it's a different object.

Is there a way to "glue" them back together or a way to boolean an object without it making 2 pieces?

Thanks in advance.

Make sure and merge points after every boolean operation - (m) on the keyboard.

Worked like a charm!

Not sure why this is not automatic.

Thanks

Reason being is that in the past, one would sometimes want them separate. For example, to keep a sharp edge on an object.

However, in the nowadays, and since they are still popping up that panel, a checkbox to auto-merge afterward would make sense.:lwicon: :hey: :foreheads
