I'm a complete newbie, but unless I specifically needed the newer features in my project, I would NOT upgrade.

If there were any bugs, any compatibility issues at all, the middle of my project is a bad time to discover them.

Just ask yourself if it's worth it if you have to start the whole project all over again if you run into a problem.

I never upgrade while in the middle of a project.

And note what I posted, BobFX made for SpeedEDIT 1.0 will NOT work in 1.2 until they are updated.
