Anyone have any good references on the differences between the different diffuse and specular shading models (Oren Nayer, Lambert, Cook Torrence, etc...)

Also - Dave Jerrard mentioned a bit about these in a primer he posted about on nodes.

I've just started switching completely over to node based texturing and am trying to figure out what everything does. I think it is something that is going to take a long time, especially since I just bought the IFW nodes. Those alone could keep you fiddling for months.
