Guys, please check out the animation at AllureFX (http://www.allurefx.com/) and let me know what you think. I'm starting a branding services firm and am trying to create a visual to support the positioning and tagline (i.e., services to improve brands to make them alluring). I'm working on the website.

If you had the particles twist or something (like a spiral in the direction of travel) it may look much better. Also, the sprites seem to be either on or off, rather than fading, which makes it look choppy. I also agree with Jerembass, it's too slow and looks like it stops short. Maybe there should be a reason for it to suddenly stop? I've seen a lot of animations that take advantage of a sudden intense lens flare or something to help ease the transition between motion and a stationary image. For this, it may be implemented as a lens flare running, right to left, along the top edge of the text then flashing as it reaches the end of the first a. Maybe that would help, maybe it would suck. I don't know, but maybe try it? Not sure there. Good luck!

Thanks guys, I agree it's slow and stops suddenly. I stop the thing in flash (with cue points), hence the abrupt stop. I'll fix this and try out your suggestions (and may be add lightning) and repost.

Although flv cue points work good for stopping and playing, it can be a pain to get a good easing effect the works perfectly every time in play back on the users side, they are better for cueing events, actions and what not, you may want to make the change at a more fundamental level... if you have AfterEffects in your workflow, you may at least mask out the front face of your sign to help left it up and off the hypervoxals... may-be with an fading in and out outer-glow? would help take the notice off the sudden stop and save rerendering time... just a two cent thought...

Definitely work on speeding up your load time, put a progress bar there or something. People want instant gratification online and if they can't tell your page is loading, they will move on.

What is it, the average person spends less than 10 seconds on any given website or something crazy like that...
