Just curious, is anyone using SE on a Mac? Secondly, what are people using for HD monitoring? There's got to be a cheaper solution than the Sony HD monitor at 5K.

Any nice monitor with a resolution of at least 1920x1080 fed off of a nice graphics card and a decently fast machine will give you HD monitoring.

Or firewire through a deck like the Sony HVR-M25U which has a HDMI output to the HD monitor of your choice.

I'm running it on a Macbook Pro. It runs. Get's kinda iffy when working in HD, but it's doable. I wonder if the new ones with the better video card are up to the challenge. I wish the powers that be (read NewTek's wizards) tried to squeeze a little bit more performance out of the video window on lesser cards. I know they can do it. They always can ;)

On a side note, it'll be interesting to try and run it on parallels 3.0 when it comes out.

Anyone messing around with the Blackmagic Design Intensity Pro Card? It has composite, svhs, component and HDMI inputs and outputs.

Hola
Here I use 2 HP LP3065 30 inch monitors, with nvidia 8800 GTS from Evga.
I also use the Multibridge Extreme to HP LP3065 monitor as well, when capturing HDSDI from the telecine (for capture I use Premiere).
The HP LP3065 are very good monitors and are capable of 2k resolution.
If you are interested only in HD monitor for SpeedEDIT a nice 24 inch from HP, Dell, Gateway, with a fast video card would be OK.
If you need HDSDI monitors check the Cinetal monitors at www.cinetal.com
Hope this helps.
