Hmmh... The poll wasn't set up to allow more than one option to be selected...

The question also seems to assume that you're doing your own production and no post for others, where you would be ingesting footage from a wide range of cameras and a number of video formats.
So far I've worked with footage from JVC GY-DV5000 and DV500, a Canon or Panasonic midsize DV camcorder, material created in Fusion, and HDV from my little Canon HV20.

OK. I don't know how to revise the poll so just pick your favorite.

Don't laugh, but I'm using a Canon Optura 20 with a lot of aftermarket upgrades. Not everybody here is a pro.

I mostly use stuff from a Sony VX2000 simply because the church owns two of them. But, I use footage from nearly anything from that on down. We are not a professional shop so we don't get into the high end stuff!

Whatch U talken about, lol. With that lens and mic, it looks semi pro to me. Though I wouldn't know what the recorded quality would be.
I am using just a lonely RCA consumer minidv camcorder. I think it will be another 1 to 2 years before I can go to a pro camcorder. Unless my funding dramatically changes.

In the poll I click on JVC (HD100, 200) instead of the Panasonic (HVX 200) simple case of not reading before selecting.

How are you using XDCAM HD with SpeedEDIT?

Good question. We've really been looking at the XDCAMs, but we're hoping to find out more about how SE supports them. Anything tricky?

TTBOMK, SpeedEDIT currently, nor in the forthcoming upgrade, does NOT support XDCAM HD natively.

Which is what puts that little tear in the corner of my eye. But perhaps digitalpost can give hope? Hath he flax-golden tales to spin?
