When I open the File Bin during a live production I lose all camera feeds. My Toaster Visions say "No Video Input." Can someone please give me an idea as to why this is happening?

My Computer is a Dual Processor 2.4GHz, with a 100GB HDD 40% full, 1GB RAM, Dual Monitors, 256MB Video Card.

Thanks,

First time I've heard of this problem. Exactly what graphics card are you running on your system? Is it just opening the file bin that causes the problem, or does it happen when you try to access a file therein? What other modules are open when you get this error? I am trying to re-create the issue here. What build are you running? This is an interesting issue, please provide more information if you can.

Normally VT will crash when I am browsing my dve's during a live capture. We capture using WM9 Encoder outside of VT.

On Desktop 1: I run 1 Toaster vision set to Preview, 1 Toaster Vision set to appear in all Desktops, and the Switcher set to 8 inputs i think it is.

On Desktop 2: I run the audio mixer, plus the Toaster Vision mentioned in Desktop 1

On Desktop 3: I run the CG, plus the Toaster Vision mentioned in Desktop 1

The Graphics card i'm not exactly sure of the Make and Model, I'll find out and re-reply to this post.

Not sure if it matters or not, but we do use the BOB

Thank you for Your Help.

Do you have to use the CG to make live graphics during production, or can you prepare them ahead of time, or prepare all you can and use Aura for the live ones?

If it's possible I'd try that combo. The CG uses a huge amount of resources for some reason, and is still known to glitch on occasion.

I'd try to run without the CG, and if the problem continues then look to other avenues. But the No Video Signal problem has been a rarity for the last few builds.

You can make your cg pages up ahead of time. Use the CG player app to "play" them during the live switch

DDR is even better. Dedicate a DDR to DSK and drop in all your pre-produced titles there.

When I open the File Bin during a live production I lose all camera feeds.

This is highly irregular (first I've heard of anything like this, in fact).

My initial suspicion is that there's a corrupted file in that folder.
Does it do this when your file bin is opened to 'My Computer' instead of a particular folder?

For the most part it will only crash in the dve's folder. I cant recall that it has crashed in any other folder.

Something thats odd is if i double click the effects bin on the switcher and the File Bin loads it has never crashed in the dve's folder

Thank You for your help.

Due to the number of problems that are arising, we have decided based on our conversation that an uninstall and reinstall would handle alot of our VT problems.

Thanks again,
