I would love to animate it but at the moment I feel I'm not good enough at modeling to do so. I am currently trying to get the poly count down on my models once I've done that then i'll move onto bones ,then onto texturing, then into animation (ugh so much to learn it gives me a headache) I have done a small animation of a simple robot I may post it soon.

This looks great! I love the cell shading! I think if you added a background that contains some cell shaded clouds (no outlines), it would help to fill the 'openess' of the sky (not that this is a bad thing, but because there are only a few objects in the foreground, adding a clouded sky would help give more 'motion' to the image). I'm fairly new to LW as well, and I know what you mean about having a lot to learn. The nice thing with LW is that you can learn new things and still generate some really awesome images as you go.
Just plain like-able! Nice.

cheers guys it's cool to know you like it I'm gonna put clouds in the background as you suggested I think your right there it did need something.
I'm currently working on a giant robot rabbit, but to have total control over the polygons i'm building it poly by poly and welding the points, it's painstakingly slow but at least this way it'll look exactly how I imagined it to be anyway I'll post the altered dragon soon watch this space.

Hello Mugata,
Like it a lot. The message on ther flags don`t really read anything, do they?
Can you do those flags in an Oriental style? Chinese ones look like swiss roll seen end on, don`t they!
Your giant robo-rabbit sounds interesting, but poly by poly? Ikk! I`m having palpitations just thinking about it! I admire your determination, but would strongly recommend you take a look at a few modeling tutorials. Well I`m sure you already have done, but well, look again, eh!! `Spline patch` might just be the magic phrase that liberates you.
PM-ed you.

EDIT: Can you do those clouds in an Oriental style?

The model is fantastic! And i like how you cel-shaded the dragon, but not the flags, gives it nice depth. Definitely save this for when you learn to animate, because this would be a great animation project.

again thankyou for your replies they are a real moral boost, as far as the flags are concerned it's true they don't say anything mostly because I can't speak
another language so that's down to lack of research on my part. I hope my ignorance didn't insult anyone! as far as spline patches go I'm still learning and will definately check it out thanks for pointing me in the right direction, I'm genuinely excited now I've recieved feedback thankyou all! I'll post some more soon :)
