A reworking of the original Megatron from Transformers, for an animation I am working on.
This is the battle damaged version:

One word...
Sweet!
He's a bit "busy" with all of the dirt, try to even it off a bit for some more definition.

By the time he is in this condition, he's just been through one HELL of a one-on-one fight with Optimus Prime. And Prime comes off a LOT worse... ;)
For comparison, here are a couple of shots of him pre-damage:

Beautiful work EmperorPete. I love the new designs for Armada so much more than the originals, and you've pulled it off so well.
I can't wait to see an anim of him transforming. Are you gonna create Optimus as well?

Very cool looking model you have there EmperorPete.
Have you thought about lighting it better, cause right now the lighting setup makes it very distracting to look at your renders.
I really want to see this model in the best possible light cause there's a lot of beautiful detail in it that really could benefit from a proper lighting rig.
Email me if you have any questions. Keep up the good work...you have mad mad crazy modeling skills!!!!

You should have Policarpo light that bad boy

Proton, Policarpo - I'd love to. Lighting is where I always fall down; I just don't have a PC fast enough to experiment much, so that side of things has always suffered. My rigs always seem to end up way too complex for their own good :( Any advice you could give would be GREATLY appreciated.
Jonny - I have modeled Prime, yes; take a look at www.redemption.dabsol.co.uk
I badly need to update the site, but there are some old shots of him on there. I'll post newer ones tomorrow, in a separate thread :)

A few detail shots I finished today; this is a launcher built into his left lower arm:

The idea is basically that it fires 3 projectiles into an area (say a smoke-filled room, for example). Those projectiles then scan the romm constantly, and provide him with continuously updated information on the movements of anyone/thing in that area.

That's a nice model but the original Megatron was a gun... It would be great to see that on the forums.

Excellent work! 110k polys seems quite efficient too, looks as if it could be made of many more.
Great work, hes looking more liek Metroplex though with all those guns..
