There are currently no hardware drivers for 64-bit use of VT[4] 4.6c.

Major suckage.... I've got the opportunity to upgrade for HD and we use Dell. All their current workstations are now 64 bit. I didn't qualify for the early release of speededit, which sounds like it works fine in 64, so I'm kind of stuck in no mans land until vt5 comes out. Or I pony up and buy my "free" copy of speededit.
Thanks for the quick reply Eugene.

Ok, now I notice that they do offer xp 32bit so all's well. But that does limit one to 4GB of ram, correct? Still, that's plenty for HD and VT4.6/5.0 right?

That's plenty of RAM for SpeedEDIT and VT[4]/[5].
Remember, WinXP 32 only lets an application use 2GB of RAM by default, with a little mod that Newtek recommends for SpeedEDIT, that goes up to 3GB.

Great, thanks! I guess I can scale back on ram and put the $$ into proc speed.

As posted above, no. VT[4] requires 32 bit Win XP.

Where do I get v4.6x? I installed VT4 a month ago off original CD's that were ordered and delivered to the office last June.

next question: Is there a planned update to get the VT to work under Vista. In particular VT[4.x] (I would expect VT[5] to when it ships, but that is still the distant future.

One would assume that eventually NewTek will be migrating everything to Vista, especially when XP becomes discontinued. However, I do not think anything has been announced for Vista compatability for VT[5].
