View Full Version : Ability to seperate the Edit Properties Stream menu into seperate windows.

In my weekly project, I have to constantly go back and forth between the positioning, compositing, and audio, stream sections within the stream drop-down menu of the edit properties window. It would be nice to seperate the three into 3 seperate windows so I can have all three up at the same time without switching back and forth between them in the drop-down menu. It has become a pain in the you know what for me 'cause I am a fast worker and I'm to lazy to use the drop-down menu to select what I want each time.

I hope this can be done.

Thanks

Well, development has continued in VT [3], where both positioning and compositing have joined in a dramaticallly more efficient interface.

It would be great if this worked a bit more like lightwave layout with the tabs across the top and the edit properties panel followed each clip you selected like it does not, but no so slow.
Or at least faster then it is now.

It would actually be great if a lot of things worked in Toaster edit like they do in LW for say color tweaking, alpha channels, blending and effects loaders. Same kind of 'style' but obviously different engine behind it to make it work the best it can.

I think this would help a lot to win over Lightwavers sitting on the fence with the idea in their heads... "should I get a toaster?"

Even if the skins could be redone in a "Lightwave" feel that would be great too.

I would also like to see values like alpha not in 0-255 ranges, but percents, and things like frame or play back speed to be not in % but in FPS and actually tell you what the current clip is, what its original FPS was, and the percentage, plus or minus it is playing back at now compared to the original playback speed.

I would also like to see this in the DDRs where I can pick say, 22fps, 30fps, or even 48 and 60fps... the DDR's and TEd would obviously have to do some frame doubling or dropping to make this work, but hey, that would be the cat's meow.

Well, a couple of instances jump to mind that are already integrated into the latest build of VT [3]: Auto keyframe...and the ability to see each keyframe as a line in the time indicator. ;)

Yep. :D
You can now toggle playback speed on your choice of value:
- percent
- frames per second
- ratio

Kick ***...

The FPS stuff is really good. Is it numerical where I can punch in whatever value I want and t3 will play it?

Groovy.
:)

That's is a life saver. I am always being asked to undercrank stuff or over crank. This will be a massively killer feature for me.

Cheers.
