Help I Need Training

I got the Class on Demand Instant VT[4] training video but find it hard to follow.

So I just found a UPDATE training video on Class on Demand and ordered it.
http://www.classondemand.net/ClassOnDemand/Public/product.aspx?Product.FormState=2&Product.ProductSelected=205

I received an email from them explaining:
“Complete Training for SpeedEDIT” was created in our ecommerce system as an upgraded training product for those who have received the bundled “Basic Training for SpeedEDIT” with their NewTek product. The training product is finished, but is still in replication. We expect to have these units ready for shipment in two weeks.

So, I am wondering if I am missing the “Basic Training for SpeedEDIT” with the NewTek product? Was I supposed to get this training video with my software?

All I got was the spiral bound Quick Start Guide.

I need to get up and producing soon and need some training.

Thanks!!!

-Jenny

No "Basic Training for SpeedEDIT" in my SpeedEDIT box here.

Based on the title, I suspect Basic Training for Speed Edit is a new or soon to be released DVD from Class On Demand, designed for dealers to bundle with Speed Edit, to help promote the sales of Complete Training for Speed Edit.

I hope Newtek will offer us a discount on the COD DVD as a reward for buying early.

I would not expect that. Class On Demand is a totally separate company from NewTek (classondemand.com.) That would be like expecting Ford to sell Shell gasoline as a discount for people who bought a new model car first.

I will say this about Class On Demand though... I normally would not go out and buy a training DVD. I'm a more dive into the software and manual kind of person. When I upgraded my original VTNT to VT[4] and purchased at Safe Harbor, they threw in the Instant VT[4] DVD as a bundled extra. It wasn't edge-of-your-seat exciting, but after watching the DVD I definitely got a huge jump-start on using VT[4]. Watching that DVD was a very well spent hour.

We include their training with several of the NewTek titles.

I know there is a SpeedEDIT tutorial in the works, not sure of a release date though.

KiloVideo does live Webcast traing with free phone call. Expect a hiband connection at ~750kbps of SPEdit on an HDTV. Email phone#, US only, to set a time, I'm on Mountain, and I'll do my best to get you going.

SPEdit stand alone system

For the most and fastest SpeedEDIT support, join yahoogroups VTNT as I use other Help Desks and these forums are so hard to find threads with how LW users need help. LW3D is another yahoogroup they could consider, but understand their wanting to use and get answers from Newtek Forums.

Thanks. I will continue to try and get the Basic Training DVD from Class On Demand. I ordered their Update Training DVD due to ship in two weeks.

I also see the online manual is pretty good. I just hate reading manuals.

I bought my two computers from Blaine Holm at Video Hardware www.videohardware.com and highly recommend him. He has been wonderful to work with and made me a one-on-one intro training DVD, something he does with every workstation he sells. He has also offered to give me personal lessons via the internet.

You are all a bunch of great people and so helpful. I am happy to be apart of this new wonderful family.

Thanks again, Jenny

Ok.. I'm going to get in trouble with Irene for this one. ;)

UPDATE: In July 2007, NewTek discontinued including Class On Demand's Basic Training for SpeedEDIT DVD. Get the Complete training for SpeedEDIT (http://www.classondemand.net/ClassOnDemand/newtek-training/ctse.aspx)direct from Class on Demand
