View Full Version : Texture Map Disappears In Animation

OK, here's the deal. I'm running LW 8.5 and had some problems with a scene file where I had to start over, rebuild the scene, and change a couple of my texture maps because they rendered correctly in one scene but not the other. I am not animating any of the texture maps themselves, but one troublesome little map has a habit of disappearing completely. Sometimes it would render and sometime it wouldn't. Well, I got it so that it would render, but now it is disappearing in the second half of my animation, and halfway-appearing towards the end. It seems to be only rendering every other frame for a stretch.

Not easy to help you, if you don't add a few other things,
like your surface settings, Layer Texture image map ? clip or still ?
local or world coordinates ? Are your objects moving in the scene ?
Have you other layers in that color channel ?
Have you set other surface channels, (e.g : transparency) ?
object clip map ?

A screenshot ?

Does rendering fail always on the same frame? I have seen this with a uvmap, only on one particular frame the texture disappeared and the base color was visible. I think 9.2 fixed that.

I'm not doing world coordinates, layers, or anything terribly fancy with this particular surface. Just one image map on top of a box is what it amounts to. This has happened independent of its bump map.

No, I have not keyframed the camera.

The rendering error seems to be pretty consistent, and it is a problem in multiple frames. It's not a UV map.

I've been trying to attach a clip, but it hasn't been working. It's in a .zip file just under 5 mb.
