I recently had to re-install windows XP, and now I can't convince LW to write files to my content directory
It's the windows read-only bug, er feature: every time I create a file or folder on that drive it gets created as read-only, which windows and most programmes seems to ignore, but not lightwave.
I've run attrib -s -r D:\ /S and that doesn't work, and neither does using the security tab on the properties window, or changing the ownership to me. I can add or delete files with the file manager, or other apps, it's just lightwave (which I've reinstalled). This is the drive with all my renders and media on it, I don't have room to take it off and wipe the drive without having to buy another hard drive.
It's dual boot so if there's a linux hack for it I'd love to know.
