Posted a couple of progress images of this guy under the WIP section, didn't get much response, hope this is better.
Still have a glass monicle for his left eye to go.

Oh and I didn't raytrace his eye's on this render, do intend doing that.

For interests sake this is going on a very large poster.

I think this looks great! I'm also a big fan of the old travelling circus/carnival idea. The ones where they would set up the big tents in the middle of some field and sell snake oil on the sides. Kind of reminds me of this old Ray Bradbury film, "Something Wicked This Way Comes".

Yeah, he looks pretty good. Only things I have trouble with are the direction of hairs in the eyebrows and the rim of the hat looks chunky (maybe turn up the subpatch level).

Great skin coloring and expression.

This is immediately striking and will be really good if you keep refining it. Keep working on the eyes and expression... On the surface it's an accomplished piece ... but what is he meant to be thinking?

I listen to a good deal of Tom Waits and Nick Cave recently which inspired this character. I love the imagery of the Carnival, a whole other culture existing on the social fringes.

Wanted the Eyebrows to form 'peaks' like they've been combed and waxed that way, perhaps they should be smoother guides maybe?
Fixed the SubD's on the hat.

Really want to give him heaps of character, atmosphere, etc. Will keep working on him.

Hey thanks again guys for your comments,

That's it for now for this character. I'm itching to do more, give him a body, rig and animate him, but I've got a whole lot a other stuff to do that pays for my coffee :D, hope to pick him up again soon.
