There's no shortage of HDRI file formats. Lightwave already excepts a few (.flx, .hdr, logluv etc). What we need is an application that can edit and paint using these file formats.
While I'm at it... ILM are stretching the truth by calling their EXR file format "HDR". The EXR file format is a 16 bits-per-channel file format. Generally, only images that are 32bpc are referred to as HDRI.
What about FCP4? I heard it can load and edit HDRI (32bpc) images.
It's not a paint program though is it?
By the way, it probably won't take to long until some guy compile HDRIE for OSX, just need to have the Qt framework installed.
Riki, No FCP is a video editing software. But I don't think HDRI shop is a paint program either, its an image editor.
Doesn't matter, I vote for HDRIE!:)
haha yes I guess it will come out sooner or later, then we can all start lusting after something else :)
