I've got a gig coming up where the client wants a 2 camera set up for 9x 1 hour long seminar's and I'm going to record the session to HD (PAL) with a backup of each camera on DV tape. I've ordered Bob so I can do the switching.
The question is: Is there anything I need to be aware of. What qty should the video be at (I have 800Gig of HD space + 1Tera on another machine), it will be output to DVD after some additional graphics are added later.
Thanks

Another question:
My video camera only has firewire, which I connect to my deck's, and then my output from my decks is component to Bob. So would it be better to use a 10 meter FireWire cable and a short component, or the other way around.

HD? You won't be able to pass an HD signal through the BOB or VT Switcher.
Also, Firewire introduces a significant delay (1/2 second or more.)
Since both cameras are going through firewire conversion.
If you are lucky, both camera/deck combos will delay the same, and you can run your mics to the cameras, and run audio from the decks to the BOB, so that the audio is delayed to match the video - but the most advisable setup is really to go analog from the cameras straight to the Bob.

Whoops, I mean Hard Drive (HD) not High Def.
I guess I'll have to do some testing when the Bob arrives, thanks.
