I don't have a quicktime option for saving animations. Is there a fix in the near future?
Thanks,

LightWave should read the codec automatically from your computer if you have QT installed.
If you do have QT installed on this machine, try scanning your plug-ins to make sure qttools.p is loaded.

Did a little digging, and I was off. Since there's no 64-bit QuickTime, you may need to resort to running both 32-bit apps on your 64-bit OS if you want to output to QT, at least until there's a 64-bit QT for PC.
