I have some NT25 encoded .avi files on a backup system. I would like to play them on that system sometimes because I can't tell from the file name what they are... (windows media player [v11] errors saying NT25 codec missing)- Can I just copy it from my VT system? If so, what it's name and where do I find it? Can it be downloaded from the NewTek site? I can't find it in my downloads...
How about the SpeedHQ from my SpeedEdit system?
Thanks,

I believe the NT25 codec comes with Speededit, as far as i know, you can copy it to another system and install it with regsvr32 drive:\path\nt25codecfile.dll.
The codec on your SE system can by found in your windows\system32 folder.
One thing however, i don't know if this violates some EULA for SE.

Personally all I did was to use the VT4 installation disc on the other machine (probably just a custom install to reduce the amount of unnecessary modules) and I automatically benefitted from the NTK25 codecs.
Now I can play any NTK25 clip on the second PC as well as encode it to an MPEG using TMPEG whilst doing other work on VT4.

That's what i did in the end aswell (with SpeedEdit that is) as the regsvr32 trick doesn't work with the codecs.
