Audio drive on Flyer system

Hi everyone, is it necessary to have an audio drive (Flyer C) hooked up to the Flyers SCSI in order to function? I have drives hooked up to A and B just wonder if its necessary on C.

When I had my flyer I had a drive for audio only and never had a problem.
