Target Tracking Problems

Greetings, all...
I downloaded Kurtis Harris's tutorial, Setting Up a Hydraulic Cylinder, from http://www.newtek.com/lightwave/newsletters/v2-n3/index.html , which was simple and straightforward. However, I'm having problems applying the same principal to a swingarm/cylinder combination, and haven't the vaguest idea why. Here's a quick FLASH video showing my nemesis:

I'm not an advocate of bumping, but I really WOULD like to resolve this issue, folks.

In the words of Rosanne Rosannadana (for those of you old enough to remember one of the original Saturday Night Live characters), never mind.

It turns out I was using a follower modifier based on World coordinates for the lower assembly. Unticking the "After IK" check box seems to have done the trick.
